The World’s 5 Most Expensive Worn Diamonds

For many diamond buyers and owners, the prestige of the material is a big part of the allure. Diamonds are some of the most valuable stones on earth, and their rarity and exclusivity makes them attractive objects of desire.

At AAA Jewelers, we’re here to fulfill those desires with our wide selection of diamond rings and colored diamonds. For a little fun, let’s look at some of the grandest representations of diamond exclusivity around the world – here are the five most expensive diamonds in the world that have actually been worn by women at some point or another.

  1. Chopard Blue Diamond Ring

Based on its exclusivity, this piece is one of the most beautiful diamonds in the world. It has an oval-shaped blue diamond that weighs nine carats by itself, set in 18-carat white gold and surrounded by triangular clear diamonds. It’s estimated to cost over $16 million.

  1. Heart of the Ocean

This is one of the most recognizable diamonds on the planet, popularized by the movie Titanic in the late 1990s. Crafted by world-famous jeweler Harry Winston, this blue diamond weighs 15 carts by itself, and is priced around $20 million. This diamond is so spectacular that it has generated numerous knock-offs and imitations – and the best of these still sell in the millions! The original product is a sight to behold.

  1. The Perfect Pink

Weighed at 14.32 carats, this rare pink diamond is known for its color, cut and clarity. It’s part of the 10 percent of pink diamonds weighing over .20 carats, and one of only 18 known diamonds in history valued at 10 carats or higher. It’s set beside two colorless white diamonds weighing 1.73 and 1.67 carats, along with a white gold ring of 18 carats. The Perfect Pink is priced at $23.2 million.

  1. The Graff Pink Diamond

Priced at an amazing $1.85 million per carat, this ring was bought from Heart of the Ocean jeweler Harry Winston by collector Laurence Graff for $46.2 million. The rare type II color diamond is 24.78 carats, considered one of the most precious diamonds ever found.

  1. L’Incomparable Diamond Necklace

This piece is known as the most valuable diamond in the world, and it took designer Mouawad Jewelry over four years to craft the necklace. Valued at $55 million, this is a yellow diamond weighing 407.48 carats, coming with diamonds of 51 different cuts. This includes 229.52 carats of white diamonds. Everything is set in an 18-carat rose gold chain.
